The Risk Manager provides for Patient Safety in the facility and related interests, through the investigation of incidents, potential incidents and grievances involving injury, treatment issues or lost property; assists in claim investigation and maintains investigative and legal files; resolves issues as appropriate; facilitates corrective action when warranted; initiates reports to insurance carrier and regulatory agencies; and assists the director and defense counsel. The Risk Manager facilitates Code 15 investigations.
Qualifications
* Associates Degree; Bachelors degree in nursing
* Extensive experience and demonstrated successes in the field of Health Care, Third party claims or Risk Management may be substituted for degree.
* Licensed as Florida Health Care Risk Manager (LHRM)
* Acute care Risk experience is preferred
