The Director of Radiology at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, supervises the technical operation of all departmenst falling under Imaging and Interventional operations. The qualified candidate communicates, coordinates, delegates, and assigns the daily activities of all Imaging Departments of operation. Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Maintains technical proficiency and expertise in areas of responsibility. Supervises patient flow and staffing. Provides testing for patients with many different clinical conditions and all age ranges. Maintains current procedural protocols, computer files, equipment maintenance program and quality control data. Ensures facility technical and documentation expectations are consistent with JCAHO and meets Regulatory requirements in accordance with the State Rules and Regulations. Ensures that the section meets regulatory requirements. Works independently land proceeds on own initiative in compliance with departmental guidelines and practices.

Qualifications
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Certified by ARRT
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree
EXPERIENCE : Interventional experience required. Minimum three years experience as Director of Imaging in an acute care facility of 288 beds or more. Minimum 6 years Imaging experience required.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be able to handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure. Must function independently and making appropriate decisions. High degree of manual skills and dexterity necessary to assist in emergency situation, operate equipment, position patients, prepare medications and assist patients and physicians.
