Employee Classification: Employess will be classified as temporary employees and will receive no benefits other than those defined by Federal or State law.
Program Duration: The Blake Medical Center Seasonal Staffing Program offers assignments for 12-16 weeks full seasonal period (January 18 through May 8). Employees are eligible to apply for available openings at the end of the specified employment agreement.
Scheduling Options: Three 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week; 72 hours per pay period) including every other weekend.
Contracts available: Medical/Surgical, Neurology, PCU, SSU, CVICU, ICU, Rehab, Outpatient, ER, Cath Lab and the OR.
Other Conditions:
* Employee will attend hospital New Employee Orientation and receive appropriate departmental orientation.
* Employees will float according to their skill level.
* Overtime will be paid in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.
* Employees will work holidays as determined by facility.
* The hospital reserves the right to terminate this program/employment at any time.
Current licensure as an RN.
Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider; ACLS dependent on contracted position.
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
