POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the operation of CT/Specials/MRI Imaging department. Duties will include to maintain full coverage during normal hours of operation and schedule staff for on call service. Maintain and update policies & procedures according to JCAHO standards. Responsible for ordering supplies and maintaining equipment. As part of the leadership team, the lead technologist must be knowledgeable of the operations of the Radiology Department. In the event the Director is absent the lead technologist would be able to make operational decisions.
Qualifications
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: ARRT Required.
EDUCATION: Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school, maintains current certification.
EXPERIENCE: Endovascular Experience Required. Supervisory experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be able to handle a variety of responsibilities under pressure. Must function independently and making appropriate decisions. High degree of manual skills and dexterity necessary to assist in emergency situation, operate equipment, position patients, prepare medications and assist patients and physicians.
